I didn't start in design school. I started in operations - as an analyst at Zenith Bank, learning how large systems work from the inside, where the friction actually lives.
From operations I moved into business analysis: mapping processes, documenting systems, asking why things worked the way they did. That curiosity became my practice.
At Wakanow I started designing - not screens, but the systems behind them. Service blueprints, operational workflows, payment flows. Complex work with real stakes, which taught me that design at this level requires rigour, not just taste.
At Paystack, I've spent six years designing and implementing the frameworks behind the compliance and risk infrastructure operations teams rely on every day - turning fragmented processes into platforms that are fast, accurate, and trusted under pressure. That's the work I'm built for: not screens, but the systems that make complex operations run.
Alongside the design work, I've held the operating seat too. Since 2018 I've also been Paystack's risk and compliance practitioner, and since 2022, its Enterprise Risk Management Specialist, owning the organisation's actual risk register, running the third-party and vendor risk programme, and leading incident management end to end. The systems I design are grounded in how that work actually gets done, not just how a research readout says it should.
Since 2023, I've put that same discipline to work outside the day job, volunteering as a Salesforce architect for Hearts and Mind Foster Community, a nonprofit supporting foster and kinship families in Ontario, Canada. I designed their donor, volunteer, and programme systems on Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, replacing manual spreadsheets with governed, automated workflows and cutting administrative overhead by more than 50%, so a small team could spend less time on admin and more time with families.
